Eye Doctors

An optometrist is a health care professional who has earned a degree of Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) after completing a course of study at an approved college of optometry. Optometrists begin their training with completion of a Bachelor's degree program at an undergraduate college followed by four years at an accredited college of optometry.

Lindsay Bond, O.D.

Dr. Lindsay H. Bond is a native of Decatur, Texas She completed her undergraduate work at Texas A&M University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in May 2002. Dr. Bond was awarded clinical letters of excellence during all semesters while attending optometry school and completed specialty rotations in glaucoma management and pediatric optometry. Following an internship at Cornea Associates of Texas, she joined 1st Eye Care of 2002.

Dr. Bond received her certification by the Texas Optometry Board as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist in 2002. Her areas of interest are pediatrics, contact lens, and treatment and management of Glaucoma. She is a member of both the American and Texas Optometric Associations, as well as a participating doctor in the InfantSEE program.

An avid Aggie fan (Gig 'Em!), Dr. Bond enjoys watching sports, scrapbooking, and most of all playing with her children, Eleanor and Benjamin.

Michael L. Bond, O.D.

Dr. Michael L. Bond joined 1st Eye Care in January 2001.  Dr. Bond received his Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from Southern Arkansas University and completed his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry.  He received an award for outstanding teaching assistant and clinical letters of excellence in all clinical rotations.  Dr. Bond completed internships in the treatment and management of glaucoma as well as an internship at Cornea Associates of Texas.  The Texas Optometry Board has certified Dr. Bond as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.  He has served as president of the Tarrant County Optometric Society and is an active member of the American and Texas Optometric Associations.  Vision Service Plan, VSP, awarded Dr. Bond a Certificate of Excellence for his commitment to high quality care and services.  

His areas of interest include family practice, treatment and management of glaucoma, and specialty contact lenses.  Drs. Michael and Lindsay Bond have two children, Eleanor and Benjamin. He enjoys spending time with his family, nature photography, and hunting.

We have made the decision to close our practice for the next two weeks. This is following the recommended guidelines set by both the CDC and the State of Texas. This policy will go into effect immediately.

We are hoping to re-open on Monday, April 6th. This too can change in the future. By taking the action of closing for two weeks, we are hoping to curb the extension of this unprecedented health crisis. At this time, we can only plan until April 6th.

Due to the office closure, we will have limited staff to assist you with your needs. If you are needing to pick up glasses or contact lenses, please text us at 940-626-0045 between the hours of 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, Monday – Thursday. Once we receive your text, we will deliver to you in your car. We appreciate your understanding as we are trying to protect not only our patients, but our staff as well. We are planning to re-open under normal business hours April 6, 2020.

With the day to day changes surrounding COVID-19, our office is currently closed for the next two weeks for patient care. In light of uncertainty, if you are a contact lens wearer and have less than a 3 month supply, we highly recommend that you place an order now. We can ship them to your home or work address. We will extend contact lens prescription expiration dates on a case by case basis. Please call our office at 940-626-0045 or email us at vision@bondeyecare.com to place your order.

We give our loving thoughts to all that have been impacted by the virus and we as a team are taking necessary precautions for all of our loving patients, employees and families. As we deal with these uncertain times, we appreciate your understanding and know that we are all in this together.
