Eye Doctors

An optometrist is a health care professional who has earned a degree of Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) after completing a course of study at an approved college of optometry. Optometrists begin their training with completion of a Bachelor's degree program at an undergraduate college followed by four years at an accredited college of optometry.

Lindsay Bond, O.D.

Dr. Lindsay H. Bond is a native of Decatur, Texas She completed her undergraduate work at Texas A&M University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in May 2002. Dr. Bond was awarded clinical letters of excellence during all semesters while attending optometry school and completed specialty rotations in glaucoma management and pediatric optometry. Following an internship at Cornea Associates of Texas, she joined 1st Eye Care of 2002.

Dr. Bond received her certification by the Texas Optometry Board as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist in 2002. Her areas of interest are pediatrics, contact lens, and treatment and management of Glaucoma. She is a member of both the American and Texas Optometric Associations, as well as a participating doctor in the InfantSEE program.

An avid Aggie fan (Gig 'Em!), Dr. Bond enjoys watching sports, scrapbooking, and most of all playing with her children, Eleanor and Benjamin.

Michael L. Bond, O.D.

Dr. Michael L. Bond joined 1st Eye Care in January 2001.  Dr. Bond received his Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from Southern Arkansas University and completed his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry.  He received an award for outstanding teaching assistant and clinical letters of excellence in all clinical rotations.  Dr. Bond completed internships in the treatment and management of glaucoma as well as an internship at Cornea Associates of Texas.  The Texas Optometry Board has certified Dr. Bond as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.  He has served as president of the Tarrant County Optometric Society and is an active member of the American and Texas Optometric Associations.  Vision Service Plan, VSP, awarded Dr. Bond a Certificate of Excellence for his commitment to high quality care and services.  

His areas of interest include family practice, treatment and management of glaucoma, and specialty contact lenses.  Drs. Michael and Lindsay Bond have two children, Eleanor and Benjamin. He enjoys spending time with his family, nature photography, and hunting.
